Lisa thank you so much for linking. Your willingness to advocate on behalf of kids in care is admirable and your ability to share needs to be cloned.

Along with my own 4 kids, I have had 2 long term foster kids. They are both now out of care but the oldest (20) still lives with us and her younger sibling (18) keeps in regular touch.

The oldest is currently making her little half sister (3) a life story book about the family. They have only met eachother once with another visit planned in a fortnight.

Life story Work is a wonderful healing gift for kids in care and I would like to see every foster carer begin at least a life story book from the day the child enters their care.

Good luck to you Lisa and thank you for being you.

Right back at you, Megan,

Thank you for being a dedicated foster parent in Australia.

I have read articles about the Australia foster care system, and it doesn't seem to me like the foster parents (or children in care) are receiving adequate support.
